Controlling Your Weight
The key to weight control is keeping energy intake (food) and energy output (physical activity) in balance. So if you eat a balanced, healthful diet and don’t gulp down too many calories plus enjoy physical exercise of a sufficient intensity that excess calories are used as fuel, then you should be able to maintain a lean, healthy physique. That’s all there is to it! If only it was as simple as that in reality?

For many lucky people the above rationale works absolutely fine, unfortunately for others it seems virtually impossible. The fact is that some people are more predisposed to storing fat than others. The number of fat cells for an individual are pretty much determined by the end of puberty and this number does not change, although their size might! Try as they might some people cannot seem to shift the weight that they have accumulated over the years. They try the latest diet craze, with some success, only to find the weight eventually comes back and more! So they try a few exercise classes or a jog around the block. Yet although they feel far healthier, the excess fat has hardly shifted. This cycle can become very tedious until eventually they just give up altogether. This is a great shame as they nearly got it right!

With the CORRECT exercise and Healthful eating-NOT diets you can look your best. You may never have the “perfect” body but you’ll look the best that your body type can allow, and that can be pretty good!
